Lisa Le

Lisa has extensive commercial experience across the defence life cycle, having worked both within the defence public sector and private industry. She has a record of delivering sustainable outcomes in a complex defence environment, has a strong relationship focus and an infectious personality. She strives to deliver a value-add outcome to stakeholders. Lisa is also admitted as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of NSW.

 

She is also a subject matter expert in International Traffic in Arms Regulations, with experience working in Export Import operations across multiple jurisdictions including EU, US, Asia and Middle East. She has been lead advisor for export import regulations on multibillion-dollar defence programs. She enjoys providing strategic advice with proven ability to implement complex commercial and export import solutions.

 

Outside of work, Lisa has a little Canon EOS m50 she chases sunrises and sunsets ‘for the gram’. She generally points and clicks and prays the rest can be fixed with photoshop. Lisa also has a 2nd Dan black belt in tae kwon do. She retired as most white belts were taller than her.

Royce Villadiego

Royce is an experienced ILS engineer and Bid Manager working across the Maritime Defence sector. With a background in Mechatronic engineering, Royce is able to use his knowledge in various areas to provide input and support across the engineering and support services, this includes Logistic Support Analysis, Life Cycle Costing, development of Work Breakdown Structures and responding to ASDEFCON tenders.

Royce is a Senior Consultant in the Sydney Office. Royce applies a collaborative approach and ability to adapt to various situations to provide clients the services and results that are required.

Outside of work Royce likes to stay active playing sports including basketball and Oztag and the occasional bouldering session. To help unwind he practices yoga and enjoys listening to and playing music.

Mitch Stubbs

Mitch is an engaging, energetic and professional Senior Consultant. He served in the Royal Australian Navy as a Junior Engineer and completed studies in Naval Architecture and Fluid Dynamics. Whilst Mitch’s background stems from his studies, his recent placements have seen him play a key role in the development, facilitation and implementation of material and logistics management policies and system development in Defence.

Mitch is a Senior Consultant who came to us from an engineering and technical solution background. Eagerly immersing himself in the consulting world and thriving on our “always improving” mindset, Mitch quickly found his place in our team and continues to support and learn from those around him.

Nathan Chua

Nathan is a university student currently studying the Bachelor of Commerce and Economics at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), majoring in Finance and Business Economics. Reporting directly to the Business Manager, his role as the team assistant is to facilitate the smooth running of the business by liaising with the Coras team and implementing continuous improvement practices across the workplace. He brings a friendly, enthusiastic and optimistic attitude to work and enjoys working in team environments.

Nathan has a variety of interests including finance, politics and economics, and is currently a part of the publications teams at the UNSW FOREX Society and Economics Society. He is passionate about helping other university students build greater familiarity with economics and financial markets by producing articles, newsletters and presentations. As a keen problem solver, he also immerses himself in different consulting competitions such as the Global Scope Program and the 180 Degrees Social Impact Hackathon.

Outside of work and university, Nathan volunteers with organisations such as the Cancer Council and Red Cross, and is passionate about tennis – whether that be following the ATP tour or playing tennis on a social and competitive level.

Ryan Brook

Ryan has over 16 years’ experience in the Defence industry including 14 years’ service in the Royal Australian Navy. He is an advocate for working together collaboratively and has a delivery philosophy that includes knowledge transfer to our clients and setting them on the path for continual improvement. Ryan has recently developed and implemented a number of complex governance and management systems, and is a specialist in asset, maintenance, and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) management.

Ryan was one of our first employees and has very much enjoyed being involved in our growth. He continues to be an integral part of building, and maintaining, our company culture and has been our internal engagement coordinator for the past two years. Ryan strives to maintain a healthy work-life balance and encourages others to do the same. He is often providing feedback to senior management or mentoring junior staff to ensure we have an awesome workplace and delivering the best outcomes for clients and our team.

Ryan is an experienced sailor and strives to compete at the top of the ‘amateur’ league. We would not be surprised to see Ryan as a regular participant of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race in years to come and with his passion for long offshore races he is looking to extend this to compete in some prestigious overseas events.

Mark Fullick

Mark is a highly experienced combat systems engineer within the Defence industry, who served in the Australian Army and Navy for a combined total of 36 years. A recognised Fellow in Engineering, Mark has contributed to Defence capability acquisition programs as a project manager, systems engineer and logistician. Mark has led a number of teams in complex and challenging environments within Australia and abroad. He has extensive knowledge in systems integration, maintenance, logistics, fleet management, and multi-disciplinary engineering support services. Mark has a working knowledge of Defence regulatory systems including establishing accredited organisational assurance systems for Defence materiel.

Mark is one of our senior managers responsible for the delivery of our Asset Management Service Delivery Group. Mark has extensive experience and knowledge of asset management practices across the asset lifecycle in Defence and other government industries. This includes establishing accredited asset management policy and plans, acquisition of assets, reviewing and improving asset performance, and effectively sustaining assets through established processes. Mark has led a number of successful asset management reform initiatives for clients. He has a team orientated and collaborative approach towards service delivery and takes pride in exceeding client expectations.

Mark also has a keen interest in supporting the veterans community. He is an active veteran mentor and represents veteran interests as a member of the board of the DVA Young Veteran’s Contemporary Forum on behalf of the Naval Association of Australia. Mark has a passion for his family, the great outdoors, and travel. He can be found most weekends somewhere on the coastal fringes of Australia camping and fishing with his family. While, Mark has travelled to a number of areas around the world during his service life, he now enjoys taking his family on trips to destinations to relax and experience new cultures.

Neill Morgan

Neill is a Public Sector consulting specialist with extensive government experience. Neill has 15 years of experience in the procurement lifecycle, category management, senior stakeholder management, and implementation of Target Operating Models. Neill’s experience in Procurement Advisory Services for Defence and NSW Government gives him a unique ability to illicit the complex requirements from his stakeholders and translate them into a structured procurement strategy.

Neill is one of our Senior Managers and was our very first employee. He is responsible for leading the delivery of services within our Commercial Service Delivery Group, where he is experienced and highly regarded in providing solutions to Defence and NSW Government industries. Neill’s management ethos is based on leading by example, by achieving client service excellence, and empowering and supporting those around him.

Neill is passionate about Krav Maga – a military self-defence form of martial arts. Neill is a qualified instructor in Krav Maga and enjoys meeting new people and watching his students gain in confidence as their skill and conditioning improve. When not playing with his two sons, or teaching self-defence, Neill loves reading and is a deep thinker. He is an avid student of Neuroscience, Philosophy, Politics and Economics and is a member of a social book club.

Xavier Burton

Xavier is a passionate Senior Manager with experience consulting to defence, state and federal government and private industry. He excels in complex environments, working alongside his clients’ bringing a collaborative and structured problem-solving approach to their intractable challenges. Xavier’s highly regarded reputation is built on his intense focus on innovation, process and control improvement and business advisory services. Xavier’s broad consulting experience and proven track record include delivering projects and programs for large scale government and defence clients, and a number of Fortune 500 companies and he uses this to confidently approach the most complex problem spaces.

Xavier has a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the esteemed University of Notre Dame du Lac, Indiana. Xavier is a Chartered Accountant and member of CAANZ as well as a licensed Chartered Public Accountant and member of the AICPA and uses this foundation to provide robust and defensible frameworks to delivering repeatable business outcomes.

Xavier is still pursuing his dream of playing for the Hawthorn Hawks albeit in a more amateur capacity and having a hack on the golf course. He enjoys time well spent with friends and family and a decent book or movie to unwind as well as following the Fighting Irish in College Sports.

Calvin Luu

Calvin is a graduate from the University of Sydney who studied a Bachelor of Project Management (IT). He has experience in Defence industry delivering SATCOM Network Monitoring and Control solutions to multiple organisations within Defence. Throughout his projects, Calvin produced and maintained contracted project deliverables, engaged with stakeholders, managed resources, and conducted risk identification, treatment and mitigation activities.

Calvin’s main strength is his open and collaborative nature which assists him in working with a wide variety of stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Outside of work, Calvin enjoys learning Spanish by practising with strangers at pubs. Calvin has too many things on his hobby list – like coding, playing the guitar, and drawing, and therefore is not really a master of any of them. Calvin is a firm believer in the vision of the ‘Metropolis of Three Cities’ plan by the Greater Sydney Commission and hopes to be able to contribute to its development in the future.

Rob Pickersgill

Rob is a highly capable program and senior project manager with over 28 years of experience across Defence, law enforcement and the intelligence disciplines. He is a skilful and agile leader who pairs his experience with excellent policy analysis and highly developed communication skills to achieve strategic results which consistently exceed client expectations.

Using the lessons he has learnt from his experiences in the Australian Defence Force and within executive-level government roles, Rob has been successfully operating in management roles within the Capability Life Cycle, leading Defence teams to plan and deliver capability within Defence. Rob is a considered leader who strongly believes in team diversity and embracing the positives of life through seeking opportunities for everyone to succeed.

Rob is passionate about supporting our veteran community, having previously worked for a veteran’s charity organisation. He enjoys riding his motorcycles and performs regularly in a folk band with friends and former soldiers who help raise money for veterans’ charities around the country.

Stephen Musgrove

Stephen is a highly experienced Marine Engineer with 11 years of marine and industry experience.

Stephen comes from a merchant navy background serving onboard Australian and International vessels and has extensive experience in maritime systems and naval architecture. Stephen has delivered engineering and capability solutions in the maritime, construction and renewable energy sectors. He possesses the ability to adapt to various roles and deliver innovative and creative solutions.

Stephen is an AMSA accredited Marine Engineer. He has a degree in Marine Engineering and a Master of Marine Engineering. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Law.

Stephen is an energetic person who constantly strives to better himself both professionally and personally. Outside of work, Stephen is a keen sportsman, whether its racing mountain bikes or playing hockey, he is always looking for a competitive edge.

Jahzinta Clarke

Jahzinta is a highly motivated Senior Consultant, with 12 years’ experience across Defence and wider government affiliated agencies, including Chief Information Officer Group (CIOG) and Australian Signals Directorate (ASD). Jahzinta is able to effectively blend her procurement expertise with her intimate understanding of Defence’s ICT landscape and operational requirements to design and deliver innovative and effective commercial solutions to Coras’ clients.

Jahzinta is a Senior Consultant in the Canberra Office. Jahzinta is a Commercial and Contracting specialist who has focus on tender development and evaluation. Jahzinta is experienced in assessing commercial risk and leading negotiations. Jahzinta applies an agile approach with her clients to ensure she delivers tailored solutions to meet their needs. Jahzinta has an ability to rapidly understand clients requirements and consistently delivers results to a high standard.

Jahzinta has a Diploma in Procurement and Contracting from UNE and she is currently studying a MBA Executive from UNSW AGSM. Outside of work Jahzinta enjoys being active, going to the gym, running and mountain bike riding. Jahzinta immerses herself in nature and try’s to live a sustainable life style.

Leanne Brook

Leanne is our Business Support Manager who is primarily responsible for the day to day operations of our business.  She is relied upon to manage our office and business systems, supporting our awesome people and enabling continual improvement. Leanne also brings 20 years’ of experience working across the Defence sector in Finance, Logistics, Commercial and Business Management. She is motivated, resourceful and has a proven ability to maintain effective relationships with her positive attitude and pragmatic approach to ‘make things happen’.

Her most memorable role was managing the RAN Liaison Office located in Philadelphia, USA. During this role she worked closely with the US Navy to provide support to CASG on Foreign Military Sales (FMS) matters. The office was part of an international community consisting of 18 other foreign militaries. Known as Security Assistance Foreign Representatives (SAFRs), Leanne became the SAFR spokesperson representing the international community during various US conferences and seminars. Across her career, Leanne has fostered a reputation for integrity and excellent work ethics.

Leanne has a passion for shopping and has been a personal shopper for 15 years with interstate and international clients. Other interests include all things fitness related and she is always looking for the next challenge whether it’s a half ironman, trailblazer events or she’ll create one for the Coras team. Her belief is running to work most days is the best form of transport.

Anthony Zanatta

Anthony is an experienced Senior Consultant, with over five years of engineering and asset management experience across the private and Defence sectors. Anthony has provided services through a number of client engagements in Asset Management, Reliability Engineering, Configuration Management, and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).

As a Senior Consultant, Anthony’s core responsibility lies in service delivery to our clients, where he specialises in applying data analytics that provides a deeper level of insight to help clients make informed decisions. Anthony feels at home in our family-oriented culture, “I feel like I’m a valued part of our tight-knit team who are all working towards a common goal. I don’t feel like another cog in the machine like you might find at some larger organisations”. Anthony is currently furthering his engineering studies, where he is working towards attaining his Masters of Systems Engineering (Reliability) at UNSW’s ADFA campus.

Anthony enjoys pushing his limits, in and out of the office. In his spare time you can find Anthony either training at the gym trying to set that new PB or tinkering with his Nissan 370Z to squeeze out every last ounce of performance.

Carl Oberg

Carl is one of our Founding Directors and a Principal Consultant. He served in the Royal Australian Navy as a Marine Engineer for 25 years, with career highlights of an overseas exchange posting with the United States Navy in San Diego for 2 years and part of a joint task force in the UAE. While Carl has a maritime engineering background, in recent years, he has been at the forefront in delivering governance, regulatory compliance and assurance reform in Fleet Command. This has included leading and managing the implementation of the Fleet Regulatory Review and the development and implementation of the Fleet Command Management System.

Carl is passionate about people! He enjoys supporting our people and seeing them grow, but equally cares about the interactions with our clients, growing his extensive network and supporting his community This made him a perfect choice as our Defence Client Relationship Management lead, where he coordinates and directs activities and events in support of building and maintaining our relationships with current and potential future clients.

Carl hails from a very musical family and has travelled the world with his saxophone and guitar. These days his musical talents are largely confined to his local church and the occasional visit to the Hawkesbury Jazz Club. And when his lanky, aging body allows, Carl can be caught occasionally running around a rugby paddock with Navy Old Salts or chasing a little ball around the nearest golf course!

Stuart Lymn

Stuart is an experienced project, solution and change management professional. He served in the Royal Australian Navy for 13 years and has been delivering capability to Defence and other industries for the subsequent 17 years. Dual qualifications in Operations and Engineering provide him with a rare ability to appreciate diverse organisational and professional perspectives. This has enabled him to play a key role in a range of Defence projects, and more recently to deliver projects and capability improvements in banking, payments, digital and conveyancing industries.

Stuart’s key strength is with people. He has a deep understanding of human behaviour, particularly in teams. This has been utilised in many IT and software intensive projects, where complexity is high and where inappropriate management and project delivery approaches often contribute to negative outcomes. In recent engagements, Stuart has restructured, coached and educated clients and colleagues alike.  Stuart’s strong skills have been complemented by post-graduate education in Project Management and with certifications in multiple Change, Project and Solution Delivery methodologies.

Stuart’s passion for people, team, communication and leadership extends outside the workplace. He is a member of several community organisations where he strives to build connections between people and to show servant leadership. An avid reader, Stuart compliments this with pumping iron and strenuous gardening!

Beth Boustead

Beth is an experienced commercial practitioner and one of our highly regarded Managers. Her approach is based on bringing the right people together, exploiting synergies and brainstorming solutions. Beth is admitted as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of NSW and has experience in commercial law, intellectual property, negotiation and mediation.

Beths’ service delivery speciality is principally around requirements definition, tender development and evaluation, and commercial risk. She has developed new commercial contracts for Defence, which have been delivered through her astute knowledge of Defence contracting methods and policies, her effective stakeholder communication and her practical negotiation and mediation skills. Beth’s rare ability to develop a quick rapport with clients and stakeholders allows her to quickly grasp client needs. She understands client requirements can change rapidly and develops flexible solutions that are tailored to our clients.

Beth has an infectious personality and she always strives to be the best she can whether it be for client or for personal reasons. Her energy and enthusiasm for her work is cultivated at the heart of our organisation – it’s people. Outside of work, Beth enjoys immersive cultural experiences – food, music, books and theatre. She practices yoga, meditation and is an enthusiastic student of photography.

Jo Arnott

Jo has over 16 years of experience working on a wide range of services within the ICT arena for both Government and private sectors. Jo has a strong background in Defence, not only delivering ICT projects as a senior project manager and managing busy PMOs but more recently providing commercial advisory services as a procurement manager, supporting the development and implementation of sourcing strategies and planning tenders for large scale ICT procurements. This has given Jo a holistic understanding of Defence procurement processes, contracting methods and the greater ICT strategies and programs that are shaping Defence’s ICT related procurement activities and objectives.

As a dedicated, approachable, and engaging person, Jo enjoys building strong working relationships with clients to thoroughly understand their business needs, and provide timely assurance and guidance as businesses navigate their way through the stages of procurement and tendering processes to contract execution and beyond.

Outside of work, Jo is a keen artist who loves drawing and painting with her favourite subject being animals, including her own when they sit still long enough. In her other spare time, Jo likes to travel, walk, and relax playing video games.

Chris Millmore

Chris Millmore joins the Coras team as one of our skilled Managers.

Chris is an experienced Intelligence Analysis and Regulatory Reform Manager. He is recognised for his exceptional broad discipline problem solving, skills in data analysis, business intelligence and operations research, intelligence for decision-making, information technology, databasing and software solutions and data representation and reporting. His background includes safety regulation, counter-terrorism intelligence and the Australian Regular Army.

Chris likes to keep busy and is presently undertaking a number of courses of study and keeps active playing water polo, paintball, caving and climbing.

Tony Bannister-Tyrrell

Tony has extensive defence, private industry and government experience in aviation and maritime domains. He has regulatory compliance and application experience and had senior management roles in maintenance and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS). Tony has also been instrumental in the development of Defence Aviation and Maritime Safety Management policy and systems in a number of roles. Over his career, Tony served in the Royal Australia Air Force for 20 years, worked for Airbus Group for 10 years and has been consulting back to Defence and other supporting industries for seven years.

Tony is our lead aviation, ILS and safety systems Senior Manager. He has attained a Masters in Aviation Management, however, his passion for safety management outcomes was a catalyst for undertaking his PhD candidature through the School of Psychology at the University of Newcastle.

Tony immerses himself and is recognised as a leader in forming our belonging and caring culture. He takes our junior team members “under his wing” and has developed a strong connection with all of us. Out of work, Tony enjoys his family, especially his three grandchildren who he simply adores. He also enjoys classical music, refereeing rugby and attending the ballet on occasion.

Bek Kunda

Bek holds 9 years’ experience working within the Defence space, serving in the RAN as an Electronics and Communications Technician, and then consulting in Industry as a Project Manager. Throughout her career, Bek has been able to refine and hone her ability to combine her previous RAN technical skills with her understanding of project management practice.

As a Senior Consultant in the Adelaide Office, Bek provides specialist guidance and support to Defence and Industry projects, specialising in rapid acquisitions, systems engineering, configuration, and business management. She recognises the importance of placing her client’s requirements first; applying an agile approach to ensure the desired outcomes are understood, delivered to a high standard and go beyond expectations.

Bek has many passions outside of work. She enjoys horse riding, pilates, dining out, exploring the Adelaide Hills and wine regions and studying human behaviour. Although, if Bek were to name favourites, she would happily resolve on spending time with her husband and her two dogs, Rufus and Maple.

Frank Vreugdenhil

Frank is an accomplished Engineering and Project Manager having worked in a variety of roles across Defence for 16 years and other industries for 10 years. Frank has recently specialised in Maritime engineering with substantial experience in engineering change, configuration and maintenance systems / processes. He is a professional consultant who has proven to effectively manage large-scale projects and people to deliver results aligned with client expectations.

Frank is outcome focused and passionate about innovation and continuous improvement to deliver effective and efficient leadership and collaboration by considering the combined views of varying stakeholders. He thrives with solving complex problems and is able to navigate uncertainty and explore ideas to deliver change.

His desire for challenges extends outside the workplace. He likes to drive through the country on windy roads to take him to challenging walks both on mountain trails or through canyons. He can be found trying out new technologies and tinkering with electronics. He loves unwinding with Goju-ryu karate training and learning how to speak Japanese.

Sean Payne

Sean is a commercial and contracting specialist who possesses a coveted mix of both technical and commercial skills. He has over 16 years experience within Defence and industry, including service in the Royal Australian Navy, and has fulfilled multiple in-service sustainment and commercial roles. He is well regarded for his maritime sustainment knowledge, is a specialist in the commercial development and delivery of complex in service support contracts and has been involved in several Defence acquisition and sustainment projects.

Sean is one of our Managers and is located in our Canberra Office. Sean has a unique ability to blend his technical knowledge, commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills to design and deliver innovative and effective commercial solutions to Coras clients.

Sean is a qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, has a Bachelor of Laws and a Post Graduate Certificate in Aviation Management. He is currently studying to gain admission as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of New South Wales.

Outside work, Sean is an avid outdoorsman and can often be found in nature; trail running, mountain biking or camping with his family. When confined to civilisation Sean enjoys travelling and tinkering with his old landrover which he hopes to one day drive overland to the UK.

Phil Cutts

Phil was the inspirational force that formed our business into what it is today and brings with him a combined 25 years of Defence and consulting experience. His early career involved applying skills in technical asset management and systems engineering, however he has now transitioned to delivering complex program management and commercial services. His previous skills and recent delivery provides our clients with a unique offering of ensuring any strategic sourcing he is involved in is effective and efficient in the in-service environment. Phil has been instrumental in many key Defence commercial activities and particularly enjoys leading negotiations with Defence suppliers. He recently received a commendation by one of the Navy’s Admirals – Head of Maritime Systems, an award rarely bestowed on a consultant.

As our Managing Director, Phil focuses on the strategic direction of our business, driving outcomes by enabling others and then challenging the team to be awesome. Phil sets high professional standards to differentiate us from our competitors and to ensure clients realise the value they expect from consultants. He thrives on doing things differently by challenging norms, searching for innovative approaches and thinking new.

Phil is an avid sailor with more than 20 years of inshore and offshore sail racing experience. Most weekends you can find Phil racing around Sydney harbour with a crew of friends or up on the Pittwater trying to escape. Phil enjoys finding the balance between healthy competitiveness and enjoyment allowing him to relax while still competing. This approach is reflective of his style within Coras where he continually strives for an enjoyable yet aspirational culture.

Guy Langford

Guy is a highly experienced Defence logistic engineering, training and systems engineering practitioner with over 40 years’ experience across Defence and Industry. Guy has dedicated his career to supporting the ADF, Defence Industry and a number of Global companies with engineering, training, logistics and project management.

As a Manager, Guy is responsible for delivering maintenance engineering, logistics, training development and asset management consulting services back to Defence and other asset intensive industries. He is a critical thinker that utilises strong interpersonal skills to educate, develop and support his clients. He served as a Mechanical Engineer in the Royal Australian Army corps of RAEME for 30 years in a range of maintenance engineering, technical training and Integrated Logistics Support maintenance and management roles; and has extensive weapon systems, workshop equipment and engineering tools experience across multiple platforms and systems. This service included maintenance engineering for specific service and ADF fleets at the Maintenance Engineering Agency.

He enjoys the extremely friendly, family atmosphere of Coras where everyone is open, honest and willing to help. As someone who enjoys working with people, building good relationships, and being a part of a collaborative environment; the Coras culture aligns well with Guy’s personal values and career goals. Guy has travelled around the world and lived in the middle east, he is passionate about travel particular art in foreign cultures. Outside of work he also has a passion for old cars and is currently slowly restoring a 1932 Triumph convertible roadster.

Senior Manager

Shaun Norman

Shaun recently left the military after serving for 15 years in the Royal Australian Navy and 25 years in the Royal Navy as an Aeronautical Engineer. While Shaun is a well regarded and experienced engineer, he is a specialist in maritime aviation systems integration, education and training and regulatory system compliance and assurance. He was a Deputy Director in Technical Airworthiness and was recently the lead project manager in the design, development and implementation of the Defence Seaworthiness Management System.

Shaun is one of our Senior Managers and is located in our Canberra office. While he is relatively new to consulting, his past military experience has made him a great communicator, facilitator and of course, he knows the Defence industry very well. Shaun is already developing benefits to our Canberra clients and his experience and passion for achieving results will see him to leading our Asset Management, and Governance & Assurance Delivery Groups in our nation’s capital.

Outside work, Shaun is an extremely passionate football (soccer!) coach. He has coached from junior level right up to senior men’s teams, including the Navy Over 35’s. Last year Shaun coached a team of talented individuals to become a great team who went on to win the State League 1 Grand Final in Canberra.

General Manager

Brett Rylance

Brett is a highly experienced manager and valued principal consultant. He served in the Royal Australian Navy for 20 years and has been delivering consulting services back to Defence and other industries for the past 13 years. He has designed and delivered a number of important reform initiatives and is well regarded by our clients. While Brett has an engineering and asset management background, his key service delivery is now in business advisory, governance and assurance.

Brett is our General Manager who instills functional excellence across our business. While he is results oriented and sets high standards; he empowers, engages and supports our people to be successful. Brett manages Coras around its people, not principles, and shapes the work environment through teamwork, capturing shared knowledge and developing collective intelligence.

Brett is passionate about travel and photography. He satisfies his wanderlust with an annual photography trip to explore and capture new destinations that are off the “beaten tourist track”. He has won a number of photography awards for his images, however for him it is about visiting new places, meeting different people, experiencing cultures and being able to bring a bit of that back home with him each time.

Melinda Halliday

Melinda has over 15 years’ experience working in the Defence environment, specifically in the delivery of strategic procurement solutions. She has extensive experience in all aspects of the contracting life-cycle and has implemented various contracting initiatives with industry to achieve cost savings, and sustainable value.

Melinda commenced with Coras over four years ago as the Business Manager and has since transitioned to Senior Consultant where she is currently delivering commercial support to one of our Defence customers in Sydney.

Melinda is full of life and positive energy, enjoys the outdoors and is always looking for her next adventure. She has participated in a number of endurance races, some spanning over 750km! She is passionate about giving back to the community by supporting her local surf club and being involved with her daughter’s sport. Her claim to fame is administering CPR to save the life of a 55 year old male who suffered a sudden cardiac arrest while cycling. They are now great friends.
